So in psychology (specifically in memory), most of the models suggest that information needs to go through short-term memory so that it can be stored in long-term memory. But are there any models that indicate that information can be stored in LTM without having to go through STM?

Scientific models and evidence point towards sensory memory --> STM --> LTM. I'm pretty sure you can't bypass straight to LTM
