This is gonna sound like a dumb question, but how do you use the showers at the gym?

The way the gym I go to is laid out is: there's the locker room, then there's a door into this room where there's mirrors and hairdryers, and then there's the showers. SO from the changing room to the shower is like a 10 second walk.

I've never showered at the gym before. Do you take your clothes with you? Or do you take a towle into the shower cubical and then walk back into the changing room? Or do you leave the clothes in the mirror/hairdryer area? I'm just confused lol and wanna know what general protocol is

Well the gym that I use.
You just take your towel with you, shower, dry off, then come back into the changing room.

There's no one way. Some people will be comfortable to walk there and back naked. I should think most people will strip down maybe to their pants, or naked, and cover themselves with a towel there and back.

Only in Britain would this be a question.

Proper hygiene is as essential as ever. I don't want smelly unwashed people walking to and from the gym increasing the possibility of transmitting Covid 19.

This surely isn’t hard or is it just me?

1. Finish work out.

2. Get undressed.

3. Walk to shower with towel.

4. Hang up towel by shower.

5. Shower.

6. Dry off in shower area / cubicle.

7. Walk back to lockers and get dressed.

Please shower at the gym. If you go home first then you are one of those people being smelly for a while. Not washing and killing the potential of Covid 19.

Yeah I know it isn't complicated lol, I was just confused bc the showers are in a separate room so I was wondering if it's still acceptable to walk to the showers naked if it involves going to a different room, or if you should take your clothes into the shower aha

Silly answer given that many countries are in a far worse state with the old Corona than Britain is.

Even if Covid 19 didn’t exist, have some consideration for others.
