GCSE drama

How do I improve in GCSE drama? I already did 1 group piece and 1 monologue and I only got B's for both. I really want to get A or A* in drama. Please give me some tips.
Hi! I've done GCSE and A-Level drama so I will just give you my general tips:
- Really go for it and have no inhibitions when you're acting.
-Just before you perform spend a minute really getting into the mind of your character and embody them.
-Practice at home and try recording yourself (when alone if you feel awkward). Watch it back and go through each skill e.g. vocal skills and see what you could do better, then consider physical skills.
-Ask your teacher for advice, drama teachers are usually really keen to help.

In terms of the written part I would say look at as many specimen answers as you can online, and base your essay responses around these. From experience, since the drama syllabus is new and so different to the old one, teachers don't have much experience in marking it and may overmark which could give you a false sense of security.

Good luck!
