Accommodation- first year 2020-21

heya,

So im planning on going to leicester in sept for and im an international student.

i really cant decide between the student village and the city. i read some threads that people didnt like the commute, however they really liked the atmosphere in the village whilst some people liked the city better because everything was closer, but they also said that many 2nd and 3rd years usually go for city. anyone know if many first years also go for the city and do they usually try to group first years into the same flats?

village look real nice but the commute is kinda putting me off. but then again, i heard there is a shuttle bus service straight from campus to the village apart from the usual buses that run. anyone studying at leicester know how reliable and frequent the shuttle is and what happens if u cant get on at peak times? (im assuming the bus pass for the shuttle and the public bus are different and so cost is another thing lol)
