Quick guides to apprenticeships
So, I left sixth form around a year and a few months ago to go into an apprenticeship in which I hate and want to leave however I don't have any A-levels my only options are to either to go to college and get my A-levels or to go into a different apprenticeship before I turn 18. I have no idea what I want to go into job wise and I can only start college in September. Any advise?
Between now and September I think you have four tasks.
1. Work out what you want to do for a career, because if you can, then everything else becomes clear as you have a target to aim for.
Careers- See if you can get any of these books at the careers library or they will have similar for you to read. Try and get ones aimed at your age group. If you cant find then just get second hand from Amazon.
2. Try and get some work experience or do more research to help flesh out your ideas and id what you do and dont like.
3. Apply for apprenticeships as you see fit. A good one might come up.
4. Apply for a new school for A levels or BTEC, ideally with knowledge from 1 and 2 to help guide you what you wish too take.
I forgot, you have to sort out current apprenticeship, but unless terrible, stick with it until you know what to do from above.
The above is the strategy I would follow and it seems pretty sound.
