Does anyone know if I still need a GCSE Science for a PGCE course, if I have a BSc degree (Child Studies) ? Hoping to teach at primary school... many thanks

Hi,

Yes you do require GCSE grade C/4 or equivalents as a minimum in maths, English and science as well as your degree in order to do teacher training in the primary sector. These are the minimum requirements.

Yes, you do- however, there are equivalency courses available which may be a bit easier to complete compared to a full GCSE in science.
