I have twins starting university this year, I pay into a workplace pension, why does the finance application form say not to list work related contributions? Surely this impacts on my household income

Hi there,

We ask sponsors to declare pensions, i.e. private pensions, state pension, pensions from previous employers, personal pensions, retirement annuities, superannuations. We do not include pensions that are automatically included in your salary, we take into account the overall household income figure.

Thanks, Amy

Thanks Amy, I was thinking about my pensions contributions though as they come out of my salary but my gross annual income does not adjust for my contributions?
