What non-obvious careers could a degree in Psychology and Sociology get me?

Hoping to do a joint psychology/sociology degree in a couple of years, but they're two notoriously unemployable fields so a lot of graduates don't end up doing directly related careers. Therefore I'm trying to get ahead of the game, and am currently looking into random industries I could go in where the skills I learn would be useful. The main one I'm seeing so far is marketing. What other random careers could I do?
Have you thought about considering a career in forensics or with the police? Not sure how random these are but definitely more employable

Computer programming/ software development - especially user interface design. Marketing, market research, teaching, civil service, statistician.
You could even go into consulting. Look into it may be something you enjoy. I know many people that got into this without any relevant degree!

I've just finished my psychology degree and got a job pretty much straight away! I now work in digital marketing and I love it! You can cater your degree to yourself, I knew marketing was what I wanted to do in my final year, so I did my dissertation on consumer psychology, joined my university's psychology society and ran their social media and did an internship at a little company in my last year! In my first years I had no idea what I wanted to do, hardly went to lectures and drank all the time haha... so don't worry it's never too late to decide what you want to do!

But honestly, you can cater your degree to anything you fancy, psych has loads of statistics (bear this in mind), so if you want to do something analytical you can go into that, but it also has a lot of essay writing so you could go into something more literary-based. Or you could do a masters after your degree in medical sciences, neuroscience, forensics anything really. Psych skills are more transferrable that you might think! Honestly, the world is your oyster and the most important thing is getting additional experience on the side to back up your degree and prove your skills! I also studied sociology in my first two years, as I studied in Scotland and you can do multiple subjects in your first two years, and personally found psych more interesting! Just go for whatever you find interesting, and you'll be able to apply your degree to so many possibilities.
