Have you bought the revision guide for GCSE maths? It has various 'checklist' questions that you can go back to once you've learnt the content. Only do the practice/past papers once you know the specification as it might feel pretty overwhelming to do it beforehand!

Find a specification and rate yourself on every topic. Maths genie has one categorised by grade, and corbettmaths has one for edexcel. Both of these also make videos and practise questions (with mark schemes) that are super helpful. My school also encourages using diagnostic questions and mathswatch (for practice), plus pinpoint learning to input scores and see weak areas.
