I'm in year 13 and I've made plymouth my firm choice for uni, just done my accommodation so I actually got a decent place to stay, and they're asking for advanced rent by April? Does anyone know what happens if I don't get into the uni after paying that or how much it is? I asked my head of sixth form and she's said it's very odd for unis to ask for this so I'm a bit ://

Show us where they are asking for advanced rent. the wording.

If paid and you dont get in you will be refunded, but please link the part you are referring to.

Yep I see
https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/student-l...cants/payments

2 weeks rent, which is not much different from the deposit asked for by most unis.
You can ring them but almost certain you will get it back.
They will send you a bill. It will be total annual rent / weeks. Two of those.
