I recently resigned from my job and will be starting a new job in a few weeks.

I’m so so happy. The change is long over due.

In the last year a certain clique of colleagues had turned so nasty to me, and I’m not sure why. These are people who were nice to me once upon a time. It all came to a head at the end of last year and I embarked on a job search at the beginning of this January.

Anyway, they found out I’m leaving yesterday, and can’t even wish me well. I’ve had well wishes from so many other people who are from different departments.

I just wonder why people who are nasty seem bitter when one finally decides to leave?

Nasty people are nasty, I don't think there's any point looking too deeply into it.
