Does anyone else live near any Plymouth Brethren?

Not in 'Religion' because it's more of a general question.

The area where I live (a county town in the Midlands) has LOADS. I live next door to what seems to be some sort of communal meeting house (although I think one family does live there all the time), and there is another house belonging to them across the road. They also applied to buy some land nearby to build one of their churches, but their application was turned down.

Just wondering if anyone else knows of any activities near their location, or whether their operations are focused here.

I live in Plymouth...there are LOADS here, easily recognisable by the long hair and headscarves. Not sure exactly what they do though, apparently their hall doesn't have any windows.

They're a religious sect (cult? :s-smilie:). I went to primary school with some, but they don't go to high-school because of 'exposure to unsavoury elements'. Supposedly they also don't watch TV, read newspapers or celebrate holidays like Christmas. I think they're also only supposed to marry people who are PB too.

Yeah there are some a few doors up (I live in a South London borough). A lot seem to wander around in my area. I don't know if there is a large population of them, or if they all the same family.

They keep themselves to themselves. Their children make a lot of noise though |:

A lot of businesses in the Andover area are run by PB. They're also spreading out into the surrounding villages and buying properties. Fairly recently they built a new meeting place/hall on the site of the old Police station in Weyhill. As far as I can tell, they seem to favour living alongside each other. Winchester Road out of Andover is one such "zone".
