I want to swap my deferred university applications

Last year when I was applying for university, I applied for a 2020 entry to Nottingham Trent as my firm choice and Sheffield Hallam as my insurance choice. Nottingham Trent became my confirmed place but now I would like to change my confirmed place to Sheffield Hallam University.Do I have to now reject my choice at Nottingham Trent and then I'll be placed into Sheffield Hallam or do I need to withdrawl then reapply? Hi Adam,

In this case you’ll need to reapply to Sheffield I’m afraid. Once your firm place was made unconditional your insurance offer was withdrawn and is no longer valid this cycle.

The first thing to do is to contact Sheffield ASAP to see if they still accepting applications for the course. I would recommend calling as they may already have reduced staff in the office due to recent events.

Bear in mind there is some risk with reapplying, as even with achieved grades they cannot guarantee that you’ll receive an offer.
