Reports show that as many as 25 MILLION will be unemployed. That's close to 40 PERCENT! The aviation, tourist, hospitality industries will all have been decimated. 20,000 or more will die. The NHS will be under pressure like never befoer.

We should seriously consider planning for the aftermath as much as we plan the current response.

Years of economic misery and suffering will likely ensue. Unemployment will be everywhere. We can, and will survive. But I believe the government should now be creating some kind of relief progrmame ready for the aftermath. Maybe a New-Deal esque programme, or we should try and get the World Bank/IMF to bail us out, in fact, they hsould perhaps give the money to all the countries that need it. If the USA could finance a modern equivelant of the Marshall plan or maybe china should (given that it probably started there in the first place). china should probably start paying some reperations. Im not blaming it on them, but if they had higher standarrds of food quality and safety this wouldn't have happened. it could have been prevented if they had been more transparent.

Which reports?
Oops, misread that, it was 25 million globally, with around 2 million in Britain unemployed. Thought it sounded huge.
