OK, among my friends:
1 grad programme at JP Morgan
1 grad programme at Lehman Brothers
1 internship at largest bank in Austria (can't remember the name though lol)
1 legal training contract (given to her in second year of history degree)
1 political consultant at Mandate Communications
2 grad programmes at PwC (OK that's the easiest to get out of the three, but point still made)

Thats a no then.

i see you all talk here about soton... what about solent ?

i'm asking because i'm interested in their sport courses, and my biggest dilemma is that in spite of the large number of courses they offer, they are ranked 69 in sports science ! why so low ?

i really want to study football in uk, and i find solent interesting, but this ranking table seems to discourage me :frown:
I rejected Imperial, Warwick, Birmingham to go to Soton for engineering,

anyone who thinks it is terrible obviously has never been, or is just very very strange, it seems the best and i would make the same decision again

Solent is so low on league tables because it became an official university waaaay after most others.

You want to study football?

I'm sure you know what I meant...
Yes, to study a sport course (preferably related to football) so I can either have a degree to be able to coach or to become involved in the administration of a football club.

And no, I'm not a pro player, and I'm definitely too old to become one. I rely on my football knowledge and passion for this sport..

I just wanted to find out if this low ranking of Solent affects teaching quality. I'm not interested if Solent isn't good at other subjects as long as sport courses are good .

Unfortunately, I don't see any users taking a sport course at Solent. :frown: One can be of a great help !

From what I can remember what my friends are doing and did:

1 on grad programme doing fixed income at Deutsche Bank
1 on grad programme doing operations at JPMorgan
1 on grad programme doing audit at PWC
1 on grad programme doing acturial at Mercer
2 on grad programme doing audit at Deloitte
1 on grad programme doing corporate finance at KPMG
1 did internship at SEO (which helps ethnic minorities get jobs in Finance, Banking, IT and Law)
1 about to do training course to become a barrister (I don't remember the exact details lol)

Apart from the above, other factors make Soton great are league table rankings, quality of teaching, etc.
