Hello inesaissi

This would depend on the school's child protection policy. Some will state a strict 'no-touching' policy, but others wouldn't, and so this wouldn't be an issue.

It depends on the school and whether the teacher feels comfortable. More likely in primary than secondary. Usually should be a "side hug" rather than a full one.

At the moment, we're all being encouraged to social distance, so we aren't allowed to shake hands with students, let alone hug them!

It's wonderful that you want to show trust and reassurance through a reassuring hug. You do need to check your schools safeguarding and child protection documents to see if it is okay to do so. Most schools today advise against this, however. In the guidance, it may give tell you what is acceptable and what is not. If you want quicker answers, or ask about rules in your school in particular, the best person to contact is the safeguarding lead.

It is also worth nothing the current advise from government as well.
