I'm thinking of doing the Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison as one of my texts, but the only other book I think I want to compare it to is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, but the books are too similar in time period and theme to make for an interesting comparison. Any suggestions for another text to compare to either of these books?

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn compared to How to Kill a Mockingbird, maybe? They both follow the theme of race and race relations in the Deep South.
