Hi,

I am doing Y12 of AQA Psychology at the moment. Over the year, I have been using mainly two books, but I have more. This is probably the subject in which I have the most books.

Important thing to mention is that you don’t have to rush as it’s possible that over the year you will realise which ones you need.

1. Textbook by Lawton and Willard (https://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-level-P...s=books&sr=1-5)

This one is very academic and has a lot of knowledge (AO1). This is the main textbook we use in our sixth form. Of course, it has been very helpful so far.

2. Textbook by Flanagan, Berry, Jarvis and Liddle (https://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-Psychol...s=books&sr=1-1)

This one has less knowledge but more evaluation (AO3), which is very important. It is very structured and useful. Mentions the specification in the beginning of each topic. Very useful. If you can buy just one textbook, I would advise to have this one.

3. Pearson revision guide (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Revise-Leve...s=books&sr=1-4)

This is more of a revision guide. It has everything but summarised so you could remember what were the key things in a topic. Can be very helpful when you’re revising.

Hope it helped! Good luck
