It sounds like you're fairly early on in the EPQ, so I would suggest you think about ways to organise the EPQ with a clear framework.
Maybe you could break it down into different categories, and assess each one individually?
E.g. To what extent has multiculturalism failed in terms of social integration, public opinion, culture retention, etc etc.
This would let you collect data and sources on each topic individually, and then collate it into the EPQ where you draw conclusions.

For any big question like that, I think it's always easier to answer lots of smaller subquestions than to try and tackle it all in one go.
