Some students in my school got caught taking viagra. Let’s just say that they were in a hard situation when they got caught...

One of my teachers committed suicide.

One of the students went on a lads trip after finishing his GCSEs and ended up dying after falling off a cliff. I know it’s not directly linked to something happening in my school but it made the news. His father was a teacher in my school at the time too.

The caretaker at my school murdered his wife (who was also a member of staff at my school) and dumped her body in my school car park. He then tried to cover it up by asking other members of staff if they’d seen her.
(How the utter fk is the 1st thing even remotely comparable to the rest? )

I have no idea

Also forgot to mention that someone found an insta account of one of our teaching assistants and well... let’s just say she was quite revealing in her photos. She ended up resigning.

Whole lot got expelled.
Parents spent a fortune on lawyers and bribing the school so they would be allowed back on the premises to sit exams.
Alas only one was sentenced to custody and served time.
yikes that's mad

Nothing much interesting apart from a few chav girls getting pregnant at 13 or 14.
In my brother’s school when he was there, the PE teacher (who was married with a son) got the History teacher pregnant (she was single though) Some years later I was going out with said son, his dad was a stinking hypocrite who didn’t realise he had taught my brother.
He stopped his son seeing me because I was ‘no good’ and ‘wouldn’t amount to anything’ when he said that I calmly pointed out that my parents were still happily married and that my dad hadn’t got another woman pregnant while married to my mum. This drove him mad- he denied it but I told him he had taught my brother and he knew exactly what had happened just because he had sour grapes he went on to say that...
He was confident that by 19 I would have failed my A-Levels and be living in a grotty council flat with one kid and another on the way and no idea who the father was. (He actually said this)
I would love to see him now and tell him I have a degree and Masters (good grades- 2:1 and Merit, he trained in the days when teachers didn’t need a degree so he hasn’t got a degree at all) I’m studying for another degree and on course for a first, a good job as a civil servant, I’m married to someone who I’ve been with for 14 years who has a good job, we live in our own home (not rented) and I have no children. Oh and I passed all three A-Levels first time

What was the big scandal?

Did the girl disregard centuries of high society etiquette and trigger mass mid-life crisis's amongst all her ancestors in the Lords.
By committing the most outrageous noblesse oblige faux pas of them all: a young lady being seen in public at boarding school wearing her saltwater pearls before 12.30pm?
Forgetting the time, her manners and finest family traditions- as a result of being high on acid.
Surely not.

I testified.
Snitch.
I'm glad you weren't at any school I went to.
Too much potential for that "I'm telling off you" mentality to equate to police frequently making house calls and tax free cash income in the seven figures.

I have a couple...

First one I can really remember was back in year 10. This girl who was quite popular posted nude videos of herself on snapchat, forgetting to make them private stories to her bf. People downloaded the videos and it spread faster than COVID-19. I remember her freaking out one morning and loud clangs could be heard from the other end of the science corridor. Her reputation ruined, she left to another school the next half term, and apparently she had trouble making friends there which is understandable.

The second one is quite recent: A few weeks ago, a science teacher who I've had about once or twice was apparently arrested for some sort of nonce charge. I'm not sure whether it was pictures or alleged illicit conduct. Amazingly he was still teaching throughout and I have no idea what's going on in terms of whether the charges have been dropped or not.

It is not necessarily a lie.
It can be very difficult to meet the burden of proof to charge and convict.
Particularly where: the attempt fails to result in any overseas travel or a detectable funds transfer, no confession from the suspect and the number of witnesses willing to sign statements outside of the police & security services are very limited.

I understand that, but the way he said it, I can tell that it's probably a lie.

At my Middle School (years 3 - 6 / ages 6 - 10) in the 90s, there was a teacher who abused a bunch of kids. He threw some into fencing for example. He didn't touch me but when me and a classmate was sent to him for some reason during class, he furiously shouted and whacked the books out of our hand insulting us, 9-year-old children.

When my mum found out, she found out about the other kids too and she visited parents to try to convince them to report him to the police, but they were all too scared, so nothing happened. He happily retired a few years ago.

That's not a scandal: it's par for the course. I'd worry about what sort of a crap school it was if someone hadn't been caught taking drugs. But then you do call it a 'private school', so it's probably pretty ropey

3 of my fellow classmates were expelled for doing drugs. I barely knew them though, and this was Year 7.
Also, people have gone around vandalising bathrooms, including (the monday before they shut) someone chucking the soap dispenser into a toilet pan then peeing on it.

They then had to shut the bathrooms because it was such a problem beforehand, and for such a while, risking nearly all female students' dignity.
uncool.

The victim was my best-friend (and, rather lamentably, non-reciprocating limerent object) at the time: I didn't instigate, but I most assuredly did do everything within my meagre and ineffectual purview as 'character witness' to ensure that the narcissistic c**t couldn't evade a rightful and long-overdue comeuppance.
