Graphics at Central Saint Martin’s or London College of Communication?

(I’m new here so I don’t know what I’m doing lol)

I applied for Graphic Communication Design at CSM and Graphic Branding and Identity at LCC. I surprisingly got offers from both but I’m now divided on where I should go.

I know the courses are quite different, seeing as CSM would be considered having more of the artsy course and LCC more of the design and involved in the branding part.

I want a balance of both fields but not too sure which one would be the most fulfilling of it. I also don’t want to pick one over the other because of their reputation but at the same time I do want to go to the uni that gives me the best opportunity and provides the best growth.

Any advice?

hey, congrats on your offers. It depends on what you're looking for out of the uni. Central saint martins is known for being conceptual and ideas driven. LLC is more commercial you will come out with a more finished portfolio. saint martins obviously has the better name so it's your call

Hey, I’ve just accepted my offer for BA Graphic Communication Design at CSM! I too got offers from both and was contemplating which one. LCC is more specifically specialised in Graphic Design, however CSM has an amazing reputation as well as connections. It is also located in a much nicer place (in my opinion) I took a leap of faith and have chosen CSM as it’s definitely an opportunity of a life time and some people would die to go there!!
hope this helps
Drop your insta down below if you want to discuss this, as I was in the exact same position as you from applying to LCC branding identity as well as CSM graphic communication design.

I would say LCC as a whole, has a lot more to offer. The technical facilities are a true gem, and what will make your 3 years studying there a true pleasure. CSM really only cares about its name tbh, but it depends on what you want to do once you graduate. Are you looking to work more on branding, print for a creative agency for example? If your answer is Yes, then definitely LCC. Your work will do the talking, not only who you know.
