Elastic objects are usually materials that when you apply stress on it changes shape temporarily and reverts back to it original shape when you remove the stress.
Like when you stretch rubber band it elongates but when you stop pulling it, the rubber band reverts back to it original shape.
so from the following example
Elastic objects are :Tennis Ball , Rubber Band , spring ,diving board

Plastic Object are the ones that changes its shape permanently when stress is applied and doesn't reverts back when the stress is removed.
Squish a banana, it will still look squished and doesn't revert to it previous shape when you stop squishing it.
Plastic Objects are : Uncooked pastry , bananas

(sorry for the bad English and hope this helps )
