I don't see anything about left-wing groups on this site. But I do see witness statements about an assault and threats against his wife.

An assault by him on the former vice president? Or was it an altercation or something, which he still wanted for?

I'm sorry, but the more I read the less I start to care, he was on Facebook the other day trolling the uni for a group of students having set up a page nearly every other university has, and of course trolled poorly as he did this on a page that has no content/the wrong page.

Whether or not he is in the right or wrong, he has conducted himself as a complete spanner

This has the statements about an assault against his wife and threats, which may be why he can't come back.

I think he called the vice-chancellor a criminal or something like that cause he had his deputy send threatening letters, and his deputy was criminally charged. Fredericks was arrested for insulting words, but I read that that's not a crime any more.

So, my firm uncondition offer for english lit and journalism lies with Kingston. This decision came after hearing lots of good things about the uni and the place itself, and after falling in love with everything on the open day...it seemed really cosmopoliton, with students who adored the course and lecturers.

However, over the past month I've been hearing really bad things about it- eg it's a rough/ghetto area, it's a badly taught uni, it's for stupid people etc...all completely different to my own impressions of the place, which granted were limited because I only spent a few hours there on the open day, but obviously this is all making me pretty nervous about going there in September now...

Does anyone go there, or know anyone who goes there, or even lives in the area, who could give an honest opinion of the place? Thanks

looooool kingston is NOT a rough area, it is a suburban place, very middle-class, its the only decent town outside of central london that is not ghetto. the houses here are huge and cost around 350k, everyone that has moved here, now want to live here because its such a beautiful place, but it is expensive. most people who go kingston UNI, come from other parts of london. the reason why people think its ghetto is because of the people, and the town in london they come from [other towns do not compare] but the location itself is the complete opposite. i thought it was ghetto before coming here as well. i was VERY mistaken lol. you will see if you choose to go kingston. you should spend a day in kingston and see how you like it, im sure you'll love it

Definitely not rough/ghetto area LOL
its a very nice area outside Central London
and if you get on a direct train
it only takes 22 mins to get to Central London I find it very convenient
Kingston Hill is the Best Campus IMO
Knights Park is a bit quirky

The university is fair but the people here are very nice in general.
