So I’m in year 13 now but want to take a gap year
So I can apply for medicine for 2021 entry. So does that mean I apply through ucas again this year, 2020? And do I apply for it as a deferred entry or just normally apply?

You can do either. Medical admissions do not like seeing gap years though, as they prefer students with fresh memory of their A-Level content. However they cannot discriminate against PQA (applying in your gap year). But if you are in year 13 now it sounds like you will have to as it is too late to apply for a deferred in 2020.
