hello, I am 16 and a male. my mum recently pointed out I have a couple grey hairs on the side of my head. I had noticed this, but since people seem to be noticing, why can I do about it? is there a reason this may be happening?

It just premature aging. I don't have it but I have noticed some of my friends have it. I ask them "Why they have grey hair?" and they always say its because of stress for exams which I understand. It's more noticeable if your hair is black. I'm also 16 but it seems like a genetic problem, it's pretty normal so don't worry about it, it's just a couple of strands of grey hair and it isn't that noticeable from far away lol.

Your choices:

1) remove them
2) leave them (embrace it)
3) dye your hair if it spreads

Hello,
thanks for your response. it is a little alarming cause I'm young. but I shouldn't judge based off a couple hairs I suppose, it may not even have any more changes for many years. hopefully anyway 😂

Yeah man, like I said me and my friends are 16 but like two of them have got grey strands of hair but they are not really bothered by it. I mean my closest one resolves the problem by getting a haircut lmfao.

Hair follicles contain pigment cells that produce melanin, which gives your tresses their color. When your body stops generating melanin, hair presents itself as gray, white, or silver. (Melanin also provides moisture, so when less is produced, hair becomes brittle and loses its bounce.)

An old wives' tale was that you get ten back for each you pluck out.

Maybe not risk it :afraid:
