A few days before we get them, I'm not sure but I think teachers do see them, I dunno if anyone can confirm this.

Our teachers will know the day before :s-smilie:

We get the results from school on August 21st, and so I think they arrive at school on August 20th because most schools (I think) will have typed up the overall grades for each subject on a separate peice of paper for one to read.
I also think one can look at their results online at midnight and look at certain subjects, but that may be for A levels. I wouldn't do that anyway.

Well when we got there for our GCSE results day, all the teachers that were there had like 3 sheets of paper stapled together with everyones results in their subject on. So for that to be compiled by school ready for whatever time we picked the results up (i cant remember what the time was now), they must've got them atleast a day early, minimum. However, I doubt the teachers are allowed to see the results - may be only office staff? Or those sheets of paper may be sent by the exam boards to to school with the results.

in assembly we saw the last year result day video what we saw was the headteachers and deputy headteachers sorting out the results slips into each students envelope then the day after the students from last year came and got there results some were happy and jumping up and crying in hapiness while some were upset because they failed

Oh my. That's quite scary:s-smilie: lol. I hope none of my teachers are there because if I see them before I pick up my results I will know by the way they look at me how well I've done.:p:

Yeah exactly! I bet knowing my luck I'll bump into one of my teachers in town or something the evening before and they'll give me a disappointed look, so I'll know I've messed up. :frown:

My English teacher lives next door to me. Oh dear. I will be a recluse that day. If I happen to catch her eye after she's seen my results I will know that I've failed.

The teachers definitely get copies of everyone's results, but I don't know if they get them on the 20th or 21st. I THINK the teachers get booklets of results on the 21st. But, some teachers in charge of exams get them all on the 20th to sort them into envelopes.

I bet the senior staff do. I doubt all the teachers weill because frankly they've got lives and don't actually care that much that they want to find out a year groups results a day earlier lol

Yeah, to be honest- very few teachers actually care what we get in our GCSEs as long as it doesn't make them look bad. Having said that though, I know a lot of my teachers do care but that's cos I made the effort to attend all revision sessions when nobody else did etc.
It's probably the head of departments and senior management as well as exam officers who have to sort through results a day earlier.

Yeh August 20th. My maths teacher (assitant head) and headteacher receive the day before to summarize results etc;. they aren't allowed (by law i think) to let anybody else know tho, not even other members of staff.

If you really think that your teachers don't care - you need your head testing. Every year teachers worry about their students & yes, we do get really nervous in the run up to results day. Of course, our professional reputation is on the line BUT the main reason we teach is because we want young people to achieve & have a decent chance at a better life. We REALLY, REALLY DO CARE about our students - if you awaiting results tomorrow, the very best of luck.

the teachers get the results the day before (20th) to print out and organize etc. they also look at them and single out any which might need remarks or are out of character. The teachers can't legally tell us until the (21st) because every one has to have an equal chance to get sixth form places, it's more relevant for the A level results with clearing etc, but they keep the same practice with the GSCE results. I have friends with -parents as teachers and their parent's know their results before them but can't tell them, apparently it makes for one awkward dinner.

Staff (teachers) find out at 6am, your exams officer and senior staff found out midnight yesterday
