Does it matter? The word "shallow" is ill-defined and dumb. Everyone has something they're attracted to and something they're not, and it's kinda unfair to take the piss out of people for not following the norm. I thought this was meant to be the time when different sexualities and preferences were being embraced and accepted and all that crap...

Not at all, I think relationships need to be fuelled with alot of equality (i.e. appearance, intelligence) for a sucess story. Obviously this is a general statement, and not applicabale to all.

you have all the rights my dear!
there are some people who go for beauty, some go or the money, and some go for the brains..you dont need to force yourself to fall into a relationship if the person is not upto your requirment..
if intelligance is what you'r looking for..then just wait and hope for the best!..its okay to set priorities!

caring about any quality can be deemed shallow really, so I guess you are shallow but who cares?

not really, thats what i'd say a shallow thinking. If you ask couples why they're with their partner, most of them wouldn't say its because they(are intelligent and beautiful and therefore they) deserve each other rather what they feel for each other. Those relationships that lasted longer isn't because their perfection but rather how they can handle their imperfections, surely.

But i dont think its shallow, its just a preference... we all have it.
