It looks as though China was the first one to detect the pathogen, but not necessarily the origin country. Just like the Spanish Flu wasn't from Spain.

You do realise this newspaper is directly controlled by the Chinese Communist Party...
It is effectively propaganda from the Chinese state

Good one, did you hear it from the guys at Thames House?
Oh look the CPC shill

Are you part of the 50 cent army?
So here's the actual paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-020-0820-9

The two takeaways from it are that the virus, (a) is unlikely to have been engineered since it isn't 'optimised' and (b) either evolved to be pathogenic to humans in other animals before transferring, or transferred to humans before evolving.

There is nothing in the paper that provides an alternative area of origin. If it is true that the virus evolved within the human population, the paper still suggests that the non-pathogenic virus would likely have come from pangolins and references pangolins imported into Guangdong.

Quite frightening really how dim some people are
Oh, so the Chinese wet markets, with their top-tier hygiene standards, are not to blame for the existence of this Wuhan Coronavirus, okay!

Doesn't mean that the CCP isn't the main reason why the whole world is in the state it is in right now.
There should be a full investigation, but I doubt the Chinese will permit it and will be cleaning up any evidence.
It is clear they tried to hide and suppress information from whistleblowers about its existence.

No one's buying his propaganda, though. I'd rather this wumao's energy is wasted here than elsewhere.
China can’t stop lying.

Just two weeks ago the head of Emergency at Wuhan Central hospital went public, saying authorities had stopped her and her colleagues from warning the world. She has now disappeared, her whereabouts unknown.

South China morning poster is a Chinese communist party propaganda outlet
Its owned by Alibaba

Since 2012, the Communist Party of China has had a Group Party Committee in place in the company and has over 2,000 party members as Alibaba employees

Nuff said
It may be propaganda, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's untrue. A couple of days ago I've heard a virologist claming people must have had contact with the virus for a long time, as new viruses kill 60 to 90% of population, not less than 10, thus it's a virus our immune systems are pretty much used to detecting and fighting.
It is time China was made accountable for their actions
