Evaluate the experimental research method with reference to the research

A researcher was interested in finding out whether exposure to plants, trees and green spaces had an effect on people’s psychological well-being.
She put an advert on Facebook for volunteers to take part in a month long study about exercise and health. She randomly allocated her 50 volunteers to 2 conditions: a group who exercised in a park where there was lots of trees and green spaces, and a group who exercised indoors in a gym watching a screen of images of trees and green spaces. The researcher predicted that the people in her volunteer sample who exercised every day in a park for 4 weeks would score higher on the WEMWBS than those who exercised in the gym, and the effect would be long lasting. The WEMWBS is a psychological wellbeing scale that was devised and validated by researchers at Warwick & Edinburgh universities to measure mental health. Answers are given to 15 questions on a rating scale and one final score of mental health is obtained the scores range from 15 ( lowest score) to 75 (highest score)
