sin on lockdown

These goals are more about keeping positive, social, productive, and active. Unlike my regular blog this will be updated daily (weekdays only).

weekdays:
- 7hrs working at home each day
I need to complete a thesis on optimising a qPCR assay and also get my lab book up to date.

- do something social each day
Whether that's a half hour gaming online with my friends or watching television with my family. Emailing my line manager doesn't count.

- 30 minutes exercise per day
I usually get an hour of exercise per day and that's dropped off lately between illness and the government's rules. Moved things around in the garage yesterday to make space for the treadmill and ready to get back into it!

- work on my novel each day
I am writing a military/science fiction series. Recently been inspired to return to it but I am failing to sit down and actually get the words on the page!

- get dressed and put on make-up/jewellery
Getting dressed for the day completely changes my mindset.

- try to keep the George collective alive

let's not discuss this one today.
not felt up to being social so far, but I'll probably join my Dad for a half hour of TV later.
00.
I've written 1,500 words toward my novel today and aim to write at least another 500 before bed
it's 3pm already - but I'm about go for a shower so I'll get dressed after that!

7/7hrs. Got pretty good feedback from my line manager on my thesis. Feels good to know that I'm on the right track with it.
talked with people on my writing group. planning to drink with my Dad later.
30/30 mins on the treadmill.
excited to carry on with this today. I wrote 5,000 words over Wed-Thu and I'd ideally like to bring my novel's total to 7k today.
dressed & all made-up. or as much is worthwhile when you're stuck at home & bald.

got dressed. didn't bother with anything beyond that.

7/7hrs. Made good progress today.
none so far today. I'll likely play ACNH with my friends later or join Dad for a movie. Here's a daft screenshot one of my friends took last night while five of us were playing together:

00/30 mins. Felt rough today. Usually I'd work out in the morning but I ended up going back to sleep. Going to call my GP tomorrow and see if they can prescribe me something over the phone.
wrote 2k bringing my total to 12,179 last night. going to write some more today.
got dressed, put on make-up. it was nice enough that I could wear spring clothes.
George is alive - and luckily so! I realised he had been over-watered so had to drain his pot. Corrected that by removing the excess.
