Can someone do this question for me. It’s forces and moments
Im sorry, why doesnt the pic seem clear to me lol?
a) is the bar accelerating vertically?
b) just balance the moments about anywhere on the rod (though a good idea would be to do it about B)

yes i am five years old that is why i am trying to talk to the op rather than outright telling them the answer so they don't understand it

Remember that the rod is in equilibrium. This means that both the sum of the upwards forces = sum of the downwards forces, and that the sum of clockwise moments = sum of anticlockwise moments.
For the second part, you should start by working out all the clockwise and anticlockwise moments about the pivot. One of them will be unknown, but using the definition of equilibrium as written above it'll be enough to find it.
