I'm choosing History for A-Level this year, and I'm not sure whether to opt for the Early History course or the Modern one (Edexcel).
Which would you recommend and why?

Modern:
- Civil War (Britain)
- Russia in Revolution
- 20th century Germany
- Coursework (free choice of topic)

Early:
- The Crusades
- Anglo-Saxon England
- The Tudors
- Coursework 1200-1485

It purely depends on which topics you would enjoy more, but at least with the modern history you can chose what you want for coursework, as for early history it is specific.
