LSE economics

Will I be at disadvantage for future prospects if I chose LSE’s course on social policy AND economics so 50:50 rather than a straight economics degree ? This is assuming I want to go into finance. Essentially will it look looked down upon or less good?

It shouldn't be a problem as future careers generally depend on the modules that you take during your time at LSE and your personal strengths. I would consider both competitive degrees for a career in finance and I would encourage you to pick the degree you think you'll enjoy and do the best at.
