Which university is the best to apply for architecture and planning?
If you’re referring to joint degrees in architecture and/or with planning, your options are very limited: the only universities offering joint RIBA and RTPI accredited routes are UWE with their BA (Hons) Architecture and Planning (also offered with a foundation year); Dundee with their MArch (Hons) Architecture with Planning (offered either as an integrated part of their five year joint Part 1 and 2 accredited programme, or as a two year Part 2 MArch); and, lastly, Sheffield with their MArch Architecture and Town and Regional Planning (only available at Part 2, and due for re-accreditation this year).

Non-accredited programmes are available at: Newcastle with their BA (Hons) Architecture and Urban Planning (also offered as an RTPI accredited route, but only if you select certain electives and complete their MA in Urban Design and a year in practice); and UCL’s BSc (Hons) Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies (which can certainly be tailored to your interests, but offers no accreditation whatsoever). You might also considered Cambridge’s Part 2 MPhil Architecture and Urban Design (although this offers no specific RTPI accredited content).

Which of those is best, really does depend on you and your circumstances. Good luck.
