I am very, very bad and rather poor at writing. Be it essays, reports or everyday emails and texts. Even though I am in my mid-twenties, I would say my reading and writing age is the same as a ten-year-old. I do want to improve on this. It's embarrassing and giving me a lot of anxiety. To be frank, I have not read a book in 10 years plus. I do have dyslexia but I think I am also very lazy! Is it too late to change my writing style for the better?

Read A LOT! Trust me this is the best way of learning different writing styles and will help you a lot in adapting your own

When you say read, should I just be passively reading as much as I can?

No it's not too late. It's never too late! Read books and practice!

Because when you read, you adopt a writing style. The way the writer writes, the sophisticated language. You'll end up picking up complex words without even knowing. It broadens your imagination. Trust me, give it a try for a month and let me know!

Ok and do I just read? Or should I be analysing the style as well?
