Awarding of Certificate of Higher Education removed due to Corona virus

Hi,

In early March I decided that I would leave my current university course and move to another course at the same University. Once I contacted a student advisor about how i would do this I was told I would be given a Certificate of Higher Education to represent my first year of my current course. Now due to the corona virus I enquired again and I've now been told that the university will not be giving me a certificate. Could anything be done about this? I already decided to leave the course before the restrictions etc were imposed and I would have left my course regardless of the corona virus so I do not find it fair at all. I was on course to pass the first year based on my assignment grades so far this year.
