is the number of coupling same as splitting and integration? and if these are n. then the number of peaks is n 1?

Integration = the number of hydrogens
Eg CH3 -CH2-O-CH3
First CH3 will make a triplet because the carbon atom next to it has 2 H (n+1 rule)
It’s integration will be 3 because it has 3 H’s

The last CH3 will form a singlet - no neighbouring H’s
Integration will be 3 because it has 3 hydrogens.

So no it’s not the same - hope this helps
