Hi everyone, looking for some advice.

Trying to make the judgement about Economics BSc vs Economics and Management BSc for 2021 entry application. I am a L6 student currently studying maths, economics and history.

How different are the courses? Are the graduation prospects different (at all) between the two? What does studying management actually consist of?

Unis in consideration are Bristol, LSE, Durham (which I believe is BA Joint Honours)

Thanks for any help.

Hey!

I'm one of the Lancaster University student ambassadors on here. I'm currently in my 2nd year of a degree in Finance & Economics; basically 50% Accounting & Finance modules with 50% Economics modules.

Firstly I'd just like to say that I really enjoy taking a dual honours with Economics; it really allows you to gain a broad perspective of the whole economy and business environment. Personally, being only a 2nd year, I have only applied for internships not jobs but most potential employers seem impressed by this wider knowledge.

I hope this was helpful - if you have any questions about courses at Lancaster or general student life please let me know!

Hi, thanks so much for your response.

How are you finding dual honours? I've had warnings regarding the difficulty of switching between two courses constantly....
