Is it worth doing chemistry to then do dentistry?

Hi,
I aspire to be a dentist however I love with chemistry and really want to study that, although I am wary of the lack of jobs compared to dentistry. Would you say it’s worth studying chemistry undergrad, simply because I like it so much and then trying to do dentistry as a graduate or just go straight into dentistry?

Doing graduate entry dentistry seems like a very convoluted and expensive way to go around things. Also if it's anything like graduate entry medicine, it may well be more competitive to get into grad entry dentistry courses than standard entry dentistry courses. Just apply for standard entry courses, and contact unis to see if they will accept a dentistry statement for chemistry as your 5th course option.
