To select the best university for me

Hey!!
I have got offer two letters from Brunel and Oxford Brookes for the master's in International Relations in this Sep-2020. But, I'm struggling to find out the fittest one for me. Please suggest me which would be the one that I can go for in terms of :
campus and accommodation
research facilities
student life
*** The course structures are almost the same in topics. Additionally, Brunel has an option to get placement for 2-3 months.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Imran Nafis

Congratulations on your offers to study at Brunel and Oxford Brookes!

I have not been a student at either university I'm afraid, so cannot comment on the campus or accommodation - but I've done a quick search and you can do virtual tours for Brunel here and for Oxford Brookes here.

In terms of the research facilities, I would advise taking a look at their faculty websites, and/or contacting the faculty to ask them directly.

A good way to find out about student life would be to look on the forums for both universities on here, possibly posting asking for any existing students to tell you what those universities are like. You could also check out the students union websites to see what events, activities and societies they have going on.

However, in terms of Masters level, if the course structures/content are mostly the same, I would advise you then to look deeper into the academic staff. Are any of them key academics in their fields? What do they specialise in? This will be important maybe during the second part of your Masters when you will be doing your thesis as you will ideally want to be able to research something you're interested in, and will want the most appropriate supervisor for that. If you are considering doctoral study after the Masters, assuming you were to stay on at that particular institution, then this would also pay off later.

I hope that helps and please feel free to ask me any more questions!
