After you have a place at Uni, during enrollment, do they check our gcse results? or just the A Level ones.

You'll be advised to bring your past certificates, I think, but the most important ones are your A-levels of course. Everything you declared on your UCAS form will probably be checked at some point (or should be)

Reply 3

your advised to take them, though uni check with ucas, as ucas know your results
sorry if i am wrong

Reply 4

Well when i had an interview at my firm university, i had to give them photocopies of all my GCSE's but it all depends on what course you will be doing to be perfectly honest.

Reply 5

I think you are supposed to bring the certificates to enrollement but I think they rarely get checked unless your GCSE's make up certain parts/terms of your offer.

Reply 6

I know I was declined a uni based on my GCSE results so yes they do check them.

Reply 7

I applied post-A2, and never even sent in my A2 certs. Apparently they had the results from UCAS anyway...

I easily could've lied about my GCSEs though, as long as my referree didn't notice. Risk is far too high though.

Reply 8

Yes they do.

Also, the word 'Uni' is not an acronym and apostrophes do not pluralise.

No, this doesn't tell you that they check them at all.

The OP is asking whether they check if you have lied about your GCSE results.

They declined you based on what you said you had.

Well I would assume as a uni declined me based on GCSEs then they are important and so will be checked. Also they were checked on my enrollment as well.

What's the point in checking them? You're hardly going to lie to make them worse than they actually are, are you?

"Well, this person's put down BBBCCCDDDDE. But what if they've actually got A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*B? We'd better check."

WHat? Yes you are. You said:

"as a uni declined me based on GCSEs then they are important and so will be checked."

The fact that they declined you based on GCSEs does NOT mean they are checked.

I admit it doesn't mean they will definitely be checked but as they were important enough to be declined on I would have assumed they would check them as well. Also, like I said, on my enrollment into uni all my certificates (including GCSEs) were checked. So by assumption and experience I am saying they will more than likely be checked, but then again each university is different.

FFS.

If they're rejecting you, the GCSEs are bad. WHY OH WHY FFS WHY would yo lie to make yourself look WORSE? There is NO POINT in a uni checking the GCSEs of someone who they are rejecting BECAUSE of bad GCSEs.

Mine checked

edit - well they will do when i enrol as i need to take my certs....but i think its just to prove my identity cos they've already accepted me based on my results at A level
