Hi,
I am new here, so apologies if this has been asked before.
Please help.
Basically, I am graduating soon and I want to know what my overall degree grade will be with my dissertation how it will impact. My dissertation is worth 30 credits and I have another module that also weights 30 credits,
I am doing 120 credits, 2nd year counts for 25% and 3rd year 75%. I have done some math on my modules to calculate my current average but I can't figure out how to calculate the dissertation value, I want to know its impact as I am still writing and need to know if is going to make or break my degree. In this case for the example, I said a 1st to see the best case scenario if it can be give me a high average of my overall degree.
2nd year I received a 54%.
Here are the variables for 3rd year.
Module 1= 56% (15 credits)
Module 2: 65% (15 credits)
Module 3: 69% (15 credits)
Module 4: 75 (15 credits)
Module 5: 70 % (30 credits)
Dissertation: 70% (30 credits)
If anyone can work this math out and share the calculation process that would be amazing.
Thank you,
- a very confused/stressed student

I just used https://unigradecalc.com to work this out
Second year (25%): 54% average
Third year (75%): 68.13% based on what you have provided above
Overall: 64.5% average (taking into account of the second and third year weighting 25%/75%)
Your dissertation is worth 25% of your third year. Since your third year is worth 75% this means that your dissertation will be worth 18.75% of your whole degree.
