Finance For Full Time Study at Open University

Hi, I'm a mother of two currently unemployed and living in Northern Ireland and want to study full-time next year with The Open University. My question is, what finance is available for full-time students on universal credit?
OU qualifies for part-time only Student Finance, even if you want to do it full time. I think it's about £4,500 you can get a year (in Wales, may be slightly different amounts in NI). You can study full-time, but they are classed as a part time only institution. So you can take more modules etc, but the fu ding will never be as much as full time, so no £9000 a year.

If NI UC is like Wales, then they take some of the funding into account as take home pay as it is used for living costs, so you'd get less UC, so they count maintenance as pay, but any grants for tuition and children aren't.

Look through the website and then query it on your UC journal and ask for a phone appointment or call them up once you know the figures you'd likely get from OU. Good luck!
