I met two people on my UCL open day who were switching courses within the same faculty but they were both starting again from the 1st year

I guess it depends on how extreme the change is

Eeeek, I wouldn't want to re-do my first year, more change quickly when I get there, if I choose to!! Hmmmm....
It depends on what course you want to change to. Obvsiously for starters you have to meet the entry requirements for the course. Further to that though a lot rests on how popular the course you wish to change to is.

For example I don't think you'd have much of a chance of transferring onto the law course. I'm not sure about other ones, but there's no harm in trying.

That dream is dead now  I knew it was HIGHLY unlikely to happen, but I was thinking of changing from French to ESPS, and I do have the required grades in the right subjects but the woman just said that it's so oversubscribed that there's no way they'll take on anyone else - exactly the response I expected!!

Sounds like a wildly good idea for someone like me whose experience of Finland extends as far as an ex-colleague called Markku and a love for Marimekko

There's a shop in Kingston that sells their homeware, but in London, just behind Selfridges, there's a dedicated Marimekko store that does all the clothes and bags etc.

Treated mesen to a new purse (my old one was too faded to make out the prettiness :frown:)
I so want to get a marimekko tattoo, but i have a feeling a Unikko flower would just look like a great big splodge :frown:
what do you think about switching from chemistry to natural sciences?
i've been wondering this for a while. Is natsci likely to be oversubscribed?

I'd say the best thing you could do is give them a ring and ask? I knew that ESPS is oversubscribed because they give out AAA offers, but I don't really know anything about natsci

For what it's worth, I have a friend who did natsci but she really didn't like it and switched to something else instead. I can ask her how popular natsci is if you want.

Nat sci was a late addition to my application and done after the deadline and I was still invited for interview and offered a place. Suffice to say it cannot be oversubscribed especially as it is new

Indeed, better than the language of Moomins

What are you taking, btw? Presuming you're a 2008 UCL-er, and not just an underage lurker?

It appears like the nat sci peeps are still trying to figure out what they are doing tbh and what subject combinations go together or not. At the mo no nat sci course matches up to the one at Cambridge. Dunno anything about the one at Durham
