Hi can someone please explain part a because it doesn’t make sense to me why the markscheme is talking about capillaries when the questions asking about arterioles.
Hi, your attachment doesn't appear to be working - are you able to try it again or upload it in a different format?

Okay, so the question is asking about arterioles and capillaries - it wants to know what feature of capillaries means that blood can easily flow from arterioles.
If one arteriole were to flow into one capillary, the blood would accumulate because, as the table shows, the speed of blood flow is greater in the arteriole and the diameter of the arteriole is greater than the capillary - a bigger volume of fast-flowing blood would be condensing into a smaller area where it could only travel slower.
Blood doesn't accumulate in the arterioles because it isn't faced with resistance that would cause it to do so. Arterioles branch into many capillaries and all of these capillaries together have a greater area (i.e. collective diameter) so that they can accommodate the volume of blood coming from the arterioles.
