Does fat = ugly?

So I’m what you’d class as a fat woman, at 5foot 2inches I weigh 180lbs. I AM FAT! I recently read this post where a guy claimed all men find fat women ugly unless they are insecure themselves. Even fat men have to settle for fat women and aren’t actually attracted to them. Cutting all PC nonsense out, do you agree or disagree? After reading this I have been feeling very ugly in myself and hate the thought of a man having to settle for me.

I think the only reason ‘fat’ people are less attractive to me is because I want a healthy partner. I also find ‘fat’ people less hygienic, which is a problem. We can control our weight (excluding health conditions) so it can be an indicator of one’s self control too.

Yes, it does.

I have always worked under the thought process of bad personality = ugly.
Sure looks are important to some degree but I've met some gorgeous looking people who I've been repulsed by purely because of their personality.
I've been fat and thin (currently thin) and have had luck with men regardless of my weight because everyone has different preferences and no 1 man can speak on behalf of all men everywhere in the world just like no 1 woman can speak on behalf of all women in the world.
Be confident in yourself and respect yourself regardless but do make sure you are healthy.

have to? fat men have no right to demand a slim woman if they aren't going to make the effort to lose the weight themselves.

i personally would never date a fat guy unless he was paying me to date him. even then i would be faking my interest in him, i personally don't know any slim woman who would choose the fat guy over the guy who is in shape. like attracts like after all.

"Fat" is a spectrum - some people who are only slightly overweight don't even look overweight, so I don't think "fat" automatically equals "ugly.

life is better and you are just more healthier when you are in shape and wealthy.

the good thing here is that its easier to lose weight than it is to become rich.

If you’re happy the way you are don’t let anyone’s comments change the way you feel. Some find bigger people attractive, some don’t. Point is no matter what size you are not everyone is gonna find you attractive so you might as well be the size you’re happy and comfortable with. You don’t need anyone’s validation.

Honestly i just had enough of being the worse at PE in my school, so I trained about 3 hours a day with good nutrition for about 2 years. I feel better and that's what matters most .Honestly if your asking this because you wanna loose weight then my advice is GO FOR IT.its not that fat woman are really ugly but people just wanna date someone who shows the signs of someone who takes hood care of themselves and no offence but being fat doesnt give the best vibe when taking health into account

Honestly I would say that just lose wait . Dont try and fight the stigma of being a big girl because it never ends well

Well my husband is skinny and I'm a size 16. Size 18 when I met him, went down to a 12 for my wedding day but he actually asked me when I was going to put it back on haha read into that what you will. I used to think it was a fat fetish (as did my friends) but he said it was because I looked better when I was curvier :dontknow:

hes also older than me too, in his 40s. Maaaybe that could have something to do with it. I've noticed all my skinny uncles started liking curvier woman as they got older, maybe its a thing. Or maybe they just became less fussy or more desperate haha I don't know. Just don't write yourself out just yet, theres always options out there. Enjoy it for what it is.
