Do you even need a university degree for any banking internship? Will banks not take someone without a university degree?

Anyone have an idea of when applications usually open and when the deadlines are. Also when do interviews usually happen?

You don't need a university degree to work in a bank. I am sure a bank will gladly fire someone after a week or two who has a university degree.

No point, especially with the current visa situation for the U.S. Unless you are a citizen / permanent resident and have easy travel and access to the U.S. and plenty of alumni there in banking you can network with, and can fly to New York for superdays (if they aren't virtual - which they have been thus far). Process is already finished for most EBs in the U.S. and BBs are just opening up for first rounds (i.e. networking has been conducted, target first rounds and diversity have happened / happening).

Are people who just graduated university even qualified to work in another country? There are costs to the employer of transportation and accomodation.

Yeah I see. Seems like IB is more about networking in the US and less meritocratic as it is here in the UK
