ACD = 80.5
to work out area of ABC you need to do 1/2 base x h, you know the base is 19 'i think i can't quite see'
Then use trig to work out the length of A to centre of AC, you have a right angle triangle. You also have to work out AC but looking at the other triangle 1/2 x 14 x h = 80.5, so h = AC = 11.5

you can use sin rule or sohcahtoa, i prefer sine rule. so 11.5/sin90 = x/sin36, so x - 6.76
ans x 1/2 x 19 = 64.2

aplogies if i read the figures wrong

hi i have a maths question, can you help?

This thread is a year old and that poster hasn't logged on since August 2020!

If you have a question I would suggest starting a new thread of your own and then anyone available can try to help :smile:
