Oh Gosh, don't you think moving to another country is a bit of a lame excuse?
If you're in love with him and he is with you, that's the way it's meant to be...
If I were in your shoes and I knew the person I've fallen for has fallen for me, I'd give it a try...
Only yesterday, I saw the person I care about, in the bar of my hall. She's moved to her home country and home university, as well. But she's returned to get her stuff and meet relatives. She smiled at me, I tried to smile back but it wasn't authentic. She knows about my feelings because I told her in an e-mail which was the only way to get in touch with her. (She hardly left me any chance to stay in touch, really.) The only thing I could do was sitting there, intimidated by my own feelings for a person I've known since, say the beginning of June.
Okay, the difference in this story is: she doesn't requite my feelings. She hasn't said so but she replied to my mail saying she's got no time for boys due to her studies, which really means the same, anyway.
Still, for your situation:
If you really love him, go for it. You will never know unless you try.
