I'm trying to decide which potential modules to take for undergrad psychology.
Do the modules chosen potential affect future options? I'm quite torn between child development or more social focused

Probably not so much. If you're fairly certain you know which area you wish to eventually specialise in then it makes sense to pick the relevant modules, but if not just choose the ones that you think will interest you the most. You may up changing your mind anyway. It won't be a disadvantage if you end up wanting to specialise in an area that you didn't do an undergraduate module in, they'll be more concerned about your degree classfication, whether it's accredited and any work experience.
